Return, Shipping and Cancellation Policy

Shipping & Delivery

Every Latha Puttanna piece is handcrafted in our Bangalore studio, and many are finished to your individual measurements. Because each order is personal to you, we confirm every one directly with you before work begins.

Your order, step by step

1. Order placed
You will receive an email confirming that we have received your order.

2. A personal call from our studio (within 48 hours)
A member of our team will contact you on WhatsApp, at the number you gave at checkout, to confirm your order and go over the details that make it yours: measurements, blouse style and fit, stitched or unstitched preference, and the date you need it by.

3. Confirmation by our Store Manager
Once these details are agreed, our Store Manager will confirm your order in writing and give you an estimated dispatch date. Your piece then goes into production or preparation.

4. Dispatch and tracking
When your order ships, we will send you the courier name and tracking number by email and WhatsApp.

How long it takes

For made-to-measure pieces, we may be able to deliver sooner. Our Store Manager will discuss timelines with you when confirming your order, so please let us know if you have an occasion date in mind.

Delivery after dispatch

• Within India: usually 3–4 business days.
• International: usually 1–2 weeks, depending on destination and customs clearance.

We dispatch Monday to Saturday, excluding national holidays. Business days exclude Sundays and public holidays.

Shipping charges

• Within India: complimentary shipping on all orders.
• International: shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination and parcel weight.

Customs duties and import taxes (international orders)

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes and clearance charges levied by the destination country. These charges are not included in our prices or shipping fee. They are the responsibility of the customer and are usually collected by the courier before delivery. If a parcel is refused or left uncollected because these charges are unpaid, return shipping and any related costs will be deducted from any refund.

Delays

We work with trusted courier partners and do our best to meet every estimated date. Occasionally deliveries are delayed by weather, customs or other circumstances beyond our control. If this happens, we will keep you informed and help resolve it with the courier.

Cancellation Policy

Because each piece is prepared or tailored specifically for you, our cancellation window matches our confirmation process.

• Within 48 hours of placing your order, you may cancel by replying on WhatsApp or emailing admin@lathaputtanna.com. You will receive a full refund to your original payment method.
• After 48 hours, or once your order has been confirmed by our Store Manager and work has begun, your order is final and cannot be cancelled.

This does not affect our commitment to quality. If your piece arrives with a manufacturing defect, please refer to our Returns & Exchanges policy below.

Returns & Exchanges

Each Latha Puttanna piece is handwoven, hand-finished and, in many cases, made to your measurements. For this reason, once an order has been confirmed it cannot be returned or exchanged. Cancellations are accepted within 48 hours of placing your order, as set out in our Cancellation Policy.

If your piece arrives with a defect

Because our pieces are made by hand, slight irregularities in weave, print or colour are a natural part of the craft and not a defect. If your piece arrives with a significant quality defect, please email admin@lathaputtanna.com within three days of receiving your parcel. Once our team has reviewed it, we will stand by our work and offer a replacement or store credit.

If your blouse does not fit

We tailor every blouse to the measurements you share with us. Each one is stitched with a margin of about two inches, so it can easily be let out or taken in. If you would prefer us to make the alteration, send it back to us with your instructions and we will re-alter it and return it to you.

Unstitched blouse fabric

If you would like your own tailor to stitch the blouse, select the Unstitched blouse fabric option on the product page and we will send the embroidered fabric unstitched.

Latha Puttanna began as a small studio devoted to craft, and every piece still passes through the hands of a close-knit team of artisans, tailors and studio staff. We are expanding our operations to serve you better. While we do, we are grateful for your patience and understanding. Your support means a great deal to our small team.
